Europass nedir?
Europass, Birleşik Avrupa tarafından sunulan fırsatlardan en iyi şekilde yararlanmak için önemli bir yardım sağlar. Europass, Avrupa’da anlaşılır bir şekilde vasıflarınızı, becerilerinizi ve yeterliliklerinizi göstermenize olanak verir. Bu da şeffaflık yaratır. Bu yüzden Europass Avrupa’da yüksek öğrenim, eğitim, iş arama ya da serbest çalışma veya maaşlı iş gibi tüm alanlarda çalışma ve öğrenme için size bir kapı açar.
Tüm bunlar standart hale getirilmiş belgeler ile mümkündür. Bu belgeler tüm Avrupa’da tek tip formatta düzenlenmiştir. Bunlar Europass CV, Europass Dil Pasaport, Europass Sertifika Eki, Europass Hareketlilik ve Europass Diploma Eki’dir. Bu belgeler, hayatınız boyunca kazandığınız vasıflarınızı kaydetmenizi sağlar. Europass ayrıca tamamen en güncel Avrupa eğitim politikalarına göre hareket eder.
Belgelerin potansiyeli, Avrupa Yeterlilikler Çerçevesi ve Mesleki Eğitim için Avrupa Kredi Sistemi sayesinde gelecekte daha da geliştirilecektir. Avrupa Kredi Transfer ve Toplanması Sistemi ise Europass Hareketlilik ve Europass Diploma Eki ile birleştirilmiştir.
Europass Dil Pasaportu
Kültürlerarası rekabet ve dil bilgisi, giderek globalleşen toplumlarda daha da önemli hale geldi. Fakat kendi dil becerilerimizi değerlendirmek göründüğü kadar basit olmayabilir. ‘Akıcı İngilizce konuşabilirim.’ ‘İngilizcem kusursuzdur.’ gibi söylemler ne anlama geliyor? Bu tür değerlendirmeler kişiden kişiye değişir ve dil seviyelerinin farklılaştığı anlamına gelir.

Europass CV – iş başvuruları için avantajdır.
Europass CV’nin iş başvuruları için sağlandığı üç önemli fayda anlaşılırlık, şeffaflık ve doğruluktur. Bu, edinilen vasıf ve yeteneklerin sistematik bir şekilde sunulmasını ve kapsamlı ve kişisel bir profil oluşmasını sağlar. Sunum kronolojik ve esnek bir şekilde meydana gelir.

Europass Dil Pasaportu Avrupa Konseyi tarafından geliştirilmiştir. Avrupa Dil Pasaportu’nın bir kısmını oluşturur ve Avrupa Kkonseyi Ortak Dil Kriterleri’ne dayanan bireysel değerlendirme sistemini kullanır. Bu kendi dil becerilerinizi değerlendirmeniz ve kaydetmeniz için tüm Avrupa’da kabul gören ortak kriterleri uygulamanızı sağlar.
Europass Sertifika Eki – mesleki vasıfları kıyaslanabilir hale getirir.

Ulusal eğitim yapıları ve eğitim içerikleri tamamen farklıdır. Bu Europass Sertika Eki’nin yardım sağlayacağı alandır. Sertifika Ekleri eğitim mesleği ile ilgili ülkelere özgü standartları tanımlar ve mesleki eğitim yoluyla edinilen yetenek, beceri ve bilginin kısa bir özetini sunar. Bu ayrıca sürenin, niteliğin ve alınan eğitim seviyesinin de göstergelerini içerir.
Europass Hareketlilik – uluslararası yetenekleri görünür kılar.
Europass Hareketlilik diğer Avrupa ülkelerinde geçirilen öğrenme dönemini kanıtlayan belgedir. Bunlar pratik bir yerleştirme şeklinde ya da mesleki eğitim veya yüksek öğrenimin bir parçası olarak meydana gelebilir. Her türlü, her seviyede ve her amaca yönelik öğrenim deneyimini kaydeder. Fakat belli bir kriteri karşılıyor olması gerekir. Bu belge Avrupa Birliği ve Avrupa Ekonomik Alanında amaçlanmıştır ve Hırvatistan, Makedonya, İsviçre ve Türkiye vatandaşları tarafından da kullanılabilir.
Tüm katılımcılar Europass Hareketlilik’ten yararlanabilirler. Yurtdışında öğrenim dönemi geçirenler bilgi ve yeteneklerini net bir şekilde belgeleyebilirler ve böylece şirketlerdeki insan kaynakları müdürleri kişinin yurtdışında edindiği becerileri daha net bir şekilde görebilir ve bu becerileri daha iyi bir şekilde değerlendirebilirler. Europass Hareketlilik’in bu bilgilendirici niteliği onu iş başvuruları için gerekli bir belge haline getirir ve bu bilgiler hem işveren hem de başvuru sahibi için fayda sağlar.
Europass Diploma Eki – yüksek öğrenimde şeffaflık ifadesidir.
Europass Diploma Eki yüksek öğrenim vasıflarını tamamlar. İçeriğin heterojen yapısı ve Avrupa yüksek öğrenim sistemleri içerisindeki organizasyonel gereklilikler yüzünden, yüksek öğrenim yeterliliklerinin uluslararası karşılaştırmaları yapıldığında birçok soru ortaya çıkar. Europass Diploma Eki bu soruların giderilmesine yardımcı olur. Kişisel bir belge olmasına rağmen orijinal diploma ya da sertifikanın yerini almaz.
Europass Diploma Eki’nin asıl amacı yüksek öğrenim yeterliliklerinin daha iyi anlaşılması ve karşılaştırılmasını sağlamaktır. Ders müfredatının durumu, içeriği, şartları ve seviyesi başka bir ülkede de güvenilir bir şekilde aktarılmalıdır. Bu amaçla, kişinin tamamladığı müfredatı ve hangi yeterliliği aldığını tanımlar. Üye devletlerin her birinde Europass Diploma Eki, orijinal diplomayı veren üniversite ya da yüksek öğrenim kurumu tarafından hazırlanır.
What is the Europass?
The europass provides important assistance in making the best use of the opportunities offered by a united Europe. The europass enables you to present your qualifications, skills and competences in a comprehensible form right across Europe. This creates transparency. The europass thus opens the door to learning and work in Europe across all areas including higher education study, training and job search or equally within the scope of salaried employment or freelance work.
This is all made possible by the standardised europass documents which are issued in a uniform format right across Europe. These are the europass Curriculum Vitae, the europass Language Passport, theeuropass Certificate Supplements, the europass Mobility and the europass Diploma Supplement. These documents enable you to record all the qualifications you have acquired during the course of your lifetime regardless of the route via which you have obtained them. The europass also operates in a manner which is completely in accordance with the very latest European educational policy thinking by being increasingly aligned towards learning outcomes rather than being based on educational pathways and learning times (learning inputs).
The potential of the documents will be even further enhanced in future by dint of the fact that they are linked to the European Qualifications Framework (EQF) and the European Credit System for Vocational Education and Training (ECVET). The European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) is already firmly integrated into the europass Mobility and the europass Diploma Supplement.
The Europass Language Passport
Intercultural competences and knowledge of languages are becoming increasing significant in a society which is undergoing ever greater globalisation. And yet evaluating our own language skills is not as simple as it may appear. What do such statements as “I speak fluent English” or “My English is perfect” really mean? Such assessments may vary greatly from person to person and denote vastly differing linguistic levels.
The europass Language Passport provides support in correctly assessing yourself and your knowledge of languages in important situations. It objectifies individual perception of language knowledge by means of a grid which describes six different levels of competence for listening and reading skills, speaking and interactive ability and for expression in writing. The EuropassLanguage Passport also provides information on where language knowledge was acquired and on which qualifications have been obtained. This may relate to learning which has taken place at a university, at a language school or during a period spent as an au-pair.
Alongside the benefits stated above, the europass Language Passport also exercises a pedagogical function by aiming to motivate learners to extend their knowledge of languages and to encourage the gathering of new intercultural learning experiences.

The three essential benefits which the europass Curriculum Vitae delivers for every job application are clarity, transparency and correctness. This enables the document to present qualifications and competences acquired in a systematic manner and to provide a comprehensive and personal profile. Presentation takes place in a chronological and flexible form.
The europass Curriculum Vitae adopts a learning outcomes oriented approach towards the description and definition of qualifications. This allows it to offer a clear statement of the knowledge and skills of job applicants whilst not being exclusively tied to educational pathways, learning times or institutions. The europassCurriculum Vitae permits a “free” depiction of all qualifications and competences, regardless of whether these have been acquired via formal or non-formal pathways and irrespective of whether they encompass informal learning or social competences such as social skills and the ability to function as a team player.
The Europass Language Passport – the cultural dimension
Professional aspects are not the only factor which leads to success in working life. Social competence also plays a particular role in considerably increasing opportunities on the labour market. A period of study and work abroad always offers a linguistic and cultural dimension. This is something which the europass Language Passport, developed by the Council of Europe, takes fully into account. It lists all diplomas and certificates obtained and describes the individual linguistic experiences of every single person.
The europass Language Passport was developed by the Council of Europe. It forms part of the European Language Portfolio and uses a self-assessment grid based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages to document language knowledge. This enables you to deploy common criteria recognised across Europe to record and evaluate your own knowledge of languages.
The Europass Certificate Supplements – making vocational qualifications comparable
It is not completely straightforward to compare a vocational qualification obtained in Germany with one acquired in a country such as Italy or Ireland. The europass Mobility is a document which provides evidence of periods of learning spent in other European countries. The Europass Diploma Supplement – transparency in the higher education system
The europass Diploma Supplement complements higher education qualifications. Due to the highly heterogeneous nature of the content and organisational requirements within European higher education systems, a series of questions arises when international comparisons of higher education qualifications are made. The europass Diploma Supplement helps to answer these questions. Although it is a personal (personally related) document, it does not constitute a replacement for the original diploma or degree certificate.
The main purpose of the europass Diploma Supplement is to provide better understanding and comparability of higher education qualifications. It ensures that the nature, level, context, content and status of the respective course of study can be reliably conveyed in another country. To this end, it describes the course of study which a person has completed and for which a degree has been awarded. In each member state, the europass Diploma Supplement is issued by the institute of higher education or university which confers the original diploma.
